​Noted Piano: Private Music Lessons

Holiday Performance

​Once a year students have an oportunity to perform at the Washington Oaks Gardens State Park in a very relaxed environment where they provide background music for the people in the park. Each student is asked to perform at least one piece that has been worked on in the lessons leading up to the concert. If a student wishes and shows an acceptable level of proficiency they are allowed to perform more than one piece. If a student is unable to perform in this concert it has no effect on their lessons and they will work on a piece as though they were going to perform in order to develop a repertoire. Those students who do perform will be given a certificate of completion for the performance to add to their portfolio. Family and friends are welcome to attend this performance.

School Performances

​I am more than willing to assist with any piece that is being used in a school performance, and if possible I will attend any performance where one of my students is involved. If there is a school program that needs an accompaniment or assistance with any instrument that I play, I am also willing to help in that capacity. My students are encouraged to join the band and or chorus at their school in order to bring their private lessons into a social sphere that allows for another form of growth in their musical career; however, this community involvement is not required.

Other Competitions or Engagements

​While I will not usually seek out outside competionts or concerts I am again more than willing to help my students prepare and be at their best for anything they wish to be involved in. If possible I will attend any event that my students are involved in and if an accompaniment or assistance with any instrument that I play is required I will do my part and participate if at all possible. The further in advance that you start preparing for something like a major competition the better your performance will be and the less stress on the behalf of all parties involved. Everyone has a different reaction to major performances or concerts and it is always best to be over prepared.
